A Life Worth Living does not approach improving one's life with the same "warm and fuzzy" affirmations that fill the pages of so many "self-help" books. And while the scientific and technical approach to changing one's life may feel cold and unfamiliar at first, it becomes both comforting and exciting as the book continues. The technical design concepts offer the reader a reassurance that real legitimate change can occur, if he or she is willing to approach changing one's life from the design perspective. Its this scientific perspective, that while cold at first glance, warms one's heart and mind to the possibility that a better life can exist.Product details

Is Life Worth Living? William Hurrell Mallock 9781146762588 Books Reviews
Like the previous reviewer I have never read a self development book quite like this and as a Life Coach I have read scores of them, maybe even hundreds.
It took me a while to get into the book and understand where the author was taking me, but when I did, I got a lot from it. One of the most important things for me is to help people think differently. This book will do that. What you chose to do with that ability is then up to you.
I've never read a self-help book quite like this one. So many can be catagorized into Law of Attraction or New Thought or how to be present now. This one ventures to give you the experience of understanding that life as we now live it is all made up! The implication being that we can therefore make something else up that serves all of us much better.
Giruzzi uses the business model to make his point about how all of life is made up from chance and choices made. How we do business, how we do religion, how we do school, how we do every aspect of our lives isn't written in stone, it wasn't designed by a divine mandate. Rather, humanity simply made it up as we went along.
It creates a space in your mind for considering your life in a whole new way. Giruzzi doesn't tell you how to consider your life in a whole new way - you are left to do that for yourself.
How did our current lifestyle evolve? Was it a conscious decision, or did everything simply happen? Is this system working for you, or do you wish things were different?
In A Life Worth Living, Bill Giruzzi questions the basic assumption of life, that "it's just the way it is." Instead, we're shown how our collective thinking has evolved, and our current paradigm was formed. Once we can clearly see what artificially created limits are blocking us, we can decide what to do about them.
Our thoughts have the power to change our lives, as the Law of Attraction states. Although the law is never mentioned by name, this book follows the wisdom of thinking about and determining to reach your goal, and then taking steps to move in the direction of what you most want.
If you've never given any thought to why you're living the life you now lead, A Life Worth Living will open your eyes. And if you want motivation to make changes, this book will provide a gentle push. But if you're looking for a step-by-step method of making those changes, you won't find it here. That's something you'll have to determine for yourself.
Reviewer Alice Berger
This is not the 'norm' when it comes to self help books. I was fortunate to have Mr. Bill Giruzzi join me on my radio talk show to discuss this book. He was great. The book is easy to understand and it is indeed a quick read. Short, succinct, gets the reader to think differently and look at things with a new perspective. Well written, timely, goes to the core beliefs that we hold onto and allows us to make the effort to change those beliefs and not live with what we were 'trained' we SHOULD live with or do. Very insightful. It's a great book for those just starting out on their path to living a better life as well as those of us who have been on the journey for quite a while. Love the perspectives - Excellent!
